The Condenser is an environmentally reactive, hygroscopic sculpture. Suspended 3D-printed vessels absorb humidity from the exhibition space, which originates from visitors’ breath and conversations. The vessels maximize surface area through lamellae-like 3D-printed condensers and use a hygroscopic chemical to extract moisture from the air.

Over time, the condenser accumulates water, which drips into a glass container, reflecting the murmurs around the artwork. The sculpture is intrinsically linked to its audience—without visitors, it stops producing water, becoming inert. Only when human presence is detected does it reactivate, tracing the humidity of those nearby. The Condenser is a listening device that transforms the intangible—conversation and breath—into a visible process, creating an evocative dialogue between the artwork, its environment, and its viewers.
