Balance explores a union of force based making, with glass casting techniques. The result is a balance between techniques and material expressions. The work is set in a symmetrical arrangement, with the penetrating glass nail in the center of the arrangement. all elements are balanced through the low center of gravity of the blown glass vessel.

Balance is a work that resulted from experimentation in the Pilchuck Glass School and the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. It epitomizes a digital approach within the traditional glass craft, to balance cast 3D printed forms with naturally force reactive making of the blown glass.
